ZOOMLION'S ROLE IN WASTE MANAGEMENT

Over the 13 years of its existence, Zoomlion Ghana Limited from its humble beginning has evolved into a multi pronged organization, solving national problems from the private sector perspective in the area of waste management.

The operations of the company have also been extended to the Republic of Angola, Togo, Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria and Zambia where we are operating in the waste management and the ICT innovation sectors. We are optimistic that this year we will link up with many other nations to share our experiences and expand our operations internationally.

The refuse was generated from households and by individuals, so we brought into this country modern waste compaction trucks of various forms and sizes to implement our Door to Door waste collection approach. It is worth mentioning that as a young company in 2008, Zoomlion effectively managed the sanitation of all the stadia in Ghana during the CAN 2008.

To create waste collection jobs at the grass root level, Zoomlion introduced the manual and motorized tricycles system in Ghana and the sub region to help access and collect waste from households with bad road networks.
